Description

Stable West is one of two holiday cottages, located within Eshott Hall Estate, set in the splendid border county of Northumberland, close to the Heritage Coastline, Cheviot Hills and National park.

The cottage is superbly appointed, benefiting from gas central heating, and refurbished to a very high standard. It consists of 2 bedrooms, both en-suite, there is a well-planned lounge and dining area with through kitchen and doors leading directly out to Lavender Garden, a sheltered courtyard suntrap. Maximum of 6 people.

"has been kitted out in style and the location is absolutely idyllic"

The property was used as a Stable set by Jack Davenport, Rupert Penry Jones, Juliet Aubrey when shooting the filming of Catherine Cooksons 'The Moth'

One of the county's most beautiful 17th Century houses, Eshott Hall itself sits in tranquil rolling lawns surrounded by ancient woodland. An active programme of conservation stewardship throughout the estate encourages a healthy population of birdlife, red squirrels and shy but plentiful deer sharing this haven of natural parkland with an enormous variety of flora and fauna. The Hall is a 5* Visit Britain and Michelin Listed Facility, providing dining and accommodation. Hard core tennis court available by arrangement.

Eshott Is centrally placed in the glorious county of Northumberland (Just off A1) Alnwick Garden, the Cheviot Hills, the unspoilt coastline and its castles are all nearby. Local services including doctors, shops, public houses and restaurants are within 5 miles. Market town shopping is close to hand in Morpeth and Alnwick, both about 10 minutes drive

"As a destination for a holiday cottage it would be difficult to surpass"

Recent Testimonial from a guest

"Stable West Cottage is comfortable, spacious (there were five of us staying), and well equipped. Having basic groceries in the fridge on arrival and meant we could relax rather than having to go out and shop. It was very much a home from home. The location is beautiful, and our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to explore the surrounds. We will definitely be back"
